Astra Microwave bags Rs 25.5 cr order from Met Dept
New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) Astra Microwave Products Ltd, country's leading provider of microwave wireless communication technologies for use in defence, space, and civilian applications, today said it has received an order worth Rs 25.5 crore from Indian Meteorological Department.
The order, scheduled for completion in the next year, is for supply, installation and commissioning of remote unmanned automatic weather stations in 550 locations across India, the company said in a statement.
The weather stations will feed live data via satellite to the Met Department's central servers on a 24X7 basis, the statement said.
