Spl Lok Adalats in 6 Punjab districts

Chandigarh Aug 25 (UNI) The Punjab Legal Services Authority (PLSA) would organise special Lok Adalats in six districts in the state beginning August 30 for all types of civil and criminal cases.

Stating this, PLSA Member Secretary G S Bakshi today said the special Lok Adalats provided good opportunities for litigants to dispose of their old cases by amicable settlements.

Giving schedule of special Lok Adalats to be organised in the various districts, he said a special Lok Adalat would be held at Jalandhar on August 30, at Ludhiana on September 13, Patiala September 27, Amritsar October 25, Kapurthala November 15 and Hoshiarpur on November 29.

The award passed in the Lok Adalats would be final and no appeal lay against the awards pronounced by these Adalats, he adsed.
