Sister Albina Mary seeks anticipatory bail

Kochi, Aug 25 (UNI) Sister Albina Mary, a senior nun at the St Mary's Convent in Kollam, today filed an anticipatory bail application before the Kerala High Court in connection with the suicide of Sister Anoopa Mary (23) at the convent.

In the application, she stated that she apprehended arrest in connection with the case.

Sister Anoopa had committed suicide on August 12 following her failure to get admission to study MBBS course, she added.

However, in her suicide note, it was stated that she was taking the extreme step due to harassment at the convent.
