Sister Albina files anticipatory bail plea

Kochi, Aug 25 (UNI) Sister Albina Mary, a senior nun at the St Mary's Convent in Kollam, today filed an anticipatory bail application before the Kerala High Court in connection with the suicide of Sister Anoopa Mary at the convent.

In the application, she stated that she apprehended her arrest in connection with the suicide.

She further stated that Sister Anoopa committed suicide on August 12 following her failure to get an admission to study MBBS course.

Twenty-three year-old Sister Anoopa in her suicide note had stated that she was taking the extreme step due to harassment at the convent.
