Rupee opens low at 43.58 against US dollar

Mumbai, Aug 25: The spot rupee on Monday, Aug 25 opened lower at 43.58/59 against per US dollar from its last finish on fresh dollar offering by local dealers. The domestic currency eased this morning as the dollar climbed against some currencies overseas, triggering demand from banks from the US unit, dealers said.

Later, it was fluctuating beween 43.58/59 and 43.75 per USD during the session, as compared to Friday's close of 43.42/43. It hit a 17-month low of 43.87 last week, dealers added.
