Pawar-Deshmukh meet raises speculations over expansion

Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) A meeting between Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra chief minister Vilasro Deshmukh today raised speculations about possibility of a cabinet expansion.

Though, officially it was stated that the two leaders met to discuss about the infrastructure development plan of Pune district, political circles were agog with the speculation about cabinet expansion.

Deputy chief minister R R Patil said there could be cabinet expansion soon, but refused to give the time frame.

He said it was the chief minister's prerogative to expand the cabinet.
