Fire at SBI's Rathtala branch

Barrackpore, Aug 25 (UNI) Fire damaged some property of SBI's Rathtala branch of Kankinara under Jagaddal police station in North 24 Parganas today.

Fire Brigade officials said the blaze broke out in a switch room of the computer section of the bank.

Two fire tenders were deployed to douse the flames before much damage was done.

The cause of the fire and quantum of losses were being examined.

Elsewhere, a hardware shop on the Barrackpore Trunk Road near Sandhya Cinema Hall under Khardah police station was gutted completely.

There were no loss of life in both the mishaps.
