DGP P G Thampy resigns

Kochi, Aug 25 (UNI) Director-General of Prosecution P G Thampy tendered his resignation from the post today.

Mr Thampy, stationed here, faxed his resignation letter to State Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and forwarded its copy to Chief Secretary and other officials in Thiruvananthapuram.

Mr Thampy, who assumed the post in 2006, cited personal reasons for his resignation.
