Bihar: Armed assailants kill couple

Darbhanga, Aug 25: A couple was murdered by miscreants at Sinhwarha village in the district late on Sunday, Aug 24 night, police said on Monday, Aug 25. District Police Superintendent Pankaj Darad said a group of armed assailants attacked the residence of one Rabindra Jha alias Sitaram, a sub-registrar of Muzaffarpur district, and killed him along with his wife Kalpana Jha by slitting their throats with sharp-edged weapons.

Later, police sent the bodies to the Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

While an FIR had been lodged in the Sinhwarha police station, the reason for the couple's murder was yet to be ascertained, police said adding that raids were on to nab the miscreants.
