CAG to conduct test audit of local bodies
Chandigarh, Aug 25 (UNI) In view of the recommendations of 11th Finance Commission, the Haryana government has decided that the office of Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) will conduct test audit of some of the Urban Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions.
Stating this, an official spokesman said the Local Audit Department Director will continue to Audit these institutions and bodies as per its statutory responsibilities as was being done presently.
The Director will adopt the guidelines and standard of Audit as prescribed by CAG and will forward some of the inspection reports of audit to the Accountant General (Audit), Haryana, which may make suggestions, if required, for improvement in system of reporting.
