BJP leader injured in firing
Barwani, MP, Aug 25 (UNI) A district BJP leader was shot at and injured by three unidentified men at Sendhwa town in this district last night, police said today.
''District BJP President Shambhu Sharma was going to the residence of independent councillor Purushottam Rawal to express condolences on the demise of his mother when he was attacked near Jalaram temple,'' Superintendent of Police Praveen Kumar Mathur said.
Three other people, including a woman, were also injured during the incident. Mr Sharma had been admitted to a hospital in Dhulia in Maharashtra, while others were receiving treatment in Sendhwa.
