8 Sanskrit scholars will receive Kalidas Sanskrit Puruskar
Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) Maharashtra government has announced the state 'Mahakavi Kalidas Sanskrit Sadhna Puruskar 2008-2009' for eight Sanskrit scholars-- seven from Maharashtra and one from Madhya Pradesh.
The award consists of Rs 25,000 in cash, shawl and certificate, and will be shortly presented to each recipient, an official release said today.
Award winners include Pandit Prabhakar Shankar Joshi, Pune; Shreekrishna Kashinath Godse, Nashik; Pandit Prabhakar Mahadev Bhatkhande, Mumbai, Pandit Shreenivas Rath, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Sarita Ramesh Deshmukh, Nashik, Dr Prabhakar Pralhad Agre, Nagpur, Dr Vasant Vaijnath Bhandare, Mumbai and Prof Neela Prabhakar Somalvar, Yavatmal, the release added.
