Pondy PMK plea to Union Minister

Puducherry, Aug 24 (UNI) PMK State Secretary and Parliamentary Party Leader M Ramadass today urged Union Shipping and Road Transport Minister T R Baalu to provide an assistance of Rs 15.5 crore to the Puducherry Administration to set up a west-by-pass road in Karaikal District of the Union territory.

In a letter to Mr Baalu, Prof Ramadass pointed out the over seven km long by-pass road would help reduce traffic congestion in the region.

He also urged the Minister to release Rs 2.6 crore and Rs 3.6 crore for construction of two bridges in the Karaikal Region.
