Naxals kill one in Gadchiroli

Nagpur, Aug 24 (UNI) Naxalites allegedly killed a youth, suspecting him to be a police informant, in Gadchiroli district in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra today.

According to police, a group of 25 to 30 armed naxalites, dressed in green, barged into the house of 33-year old Lulla Chukal Pungati in village Burgi at Kandoli in the district in the wee hours of this morning.

The outlaws beat him up before dragging him outside and slitting his throat with a sharp weapon, police said.

He was not an informant, Police clarified.
