Mete threatens Beed SP
Beed, Maharashtra, Aug 24 (UNI) Vinayak Mete, founder of the newly floated Shiv Sangram outfit, who allegedly led the attack on the residence of Kumar Ketkar, editor of Marathi daily Loksatta, today allegedly threatened the Beed superintendent of police (SP) Dr Suhas Warke in his office.
''Mete, who was earlier expelled from NCP, and other activists came to the SP office at around 1300 hrs and threatened Mr Warke, demanding action against a traffic inspector, who had caught an NCP activist with an unregistered vehicle,'' Special Inspector General of Police Aurangabad range Prabhat Ranjan told UNI.
''While arguing, Mete crossed the limits. People like Mete, who had held several responsible posts should not behave like this''.
he said adding action would be initiated against him.
Mr Ranjan had come here for a meeting with the SP on the directives of Deputy Chief Minister R R Patil, to discuss the worsening law and order situation in the district.
