K'taka: 3 killed as bus plunges into rivulet
Bangalore, Aug 24: Three people were killed on the spot and 15 injured, two of them seriously, when a private bus plunged into a rivulet after hitting the railing of a bridge near Manangi in Tumkur district, about 100 km from here, today.
Police said the bus, carrying 22 passengers from Belgaum to the city, plunged into the knee-deep water, killing Ningappa (40) and his daughter Jyoti (25) and Ravikumara Golkar (24).
While the two seriously hurt were brought to the city for treatment, the remaining 13 were admitted to a hospital in Sira town.
