Jewellery merchants robbed of Rs 3 lakh in TN
Tiruchirapalli, Aug 24 (UNI) A four-member gang snatched Rs three lakh in cash from jewellery merchants at knife point at suburb Edamalaipatti Pudur here last night.
Police said Mr Senthil Kumar and his brother Muthu Kumar, hailing from Thammampatti in Salem district, came to purchase gold coins and were waiting for their friend when the incident occurred.
The miscreants, who came in a jeep, threatened them at knife point and snatched away the bag containing the cash, police said.
