2 Raj MLAs expelled from BSP
Jaipur, Aug 24 (UNI) Gujjar leaders and sitting MLAs Prahlad Gunjal and Attar Singh Bhadana have been expelled from the BSP for ''violating'' the party discipline and misusing party Chief Mayawati's name and reputation for securing personal political mileage.
Talking to reporters here today, BSP state president Dungar Ram Gaider said Ms Mayawati had inducted them into the party with expectation that they would work for the cause of the Gujjar community and expose "anti-people" politics of the BJP and Congress.
''However, instead of doing so the legislators since their joining into the BSP had been roaming around different political leaders and parties including the BJP and Congress and failed to uphold even the Gujjar community's cause,'' he said.
They also ''misused Mayawati's name and public image'' for securing mileage in their personal politics, the BSP leader said.
Earlier, Mr Gunjal was expelled and Mr Bhadana suspended from the BJP for showing disregard against the leadership of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and BJP's policy over Gujjar agitation for ST status.
The two MLAs had joined the BSP in March this year.
