Bihar: 3 killed, 1 seriously injured in accident

Aurangabad, Aug 23: At least three members of a family were killed and another was seriously injured in a road accident near here.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Anjani Kumar Sinha said here today that the accident took place late last night when a private vehicle collided with a stationary truck on National Highway 2 near Barun in this South Bihar district.

While two passengers, including the car owner, died on the spot, another succumbed to his injuries on the way to hospital.

A woman passenger, who was seriously injured, was admitted to a nearby hospital.

The vehicle was on its way to Ranchi from Dehri-On-Sone when the accident occurred, Mr Sinha said.

Police later seized both the vehicles and lodged an FIR in the local police station.
