Ruling Congress rewards TDP ''cross voter''
Hyderabad, Aug 23 (UNI) Mr D K Adikeshavulu Naidu, who was expelled from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) for allegedly cross voting in favour of the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government in the recent trust vote, was nominated to the post of chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board, which administers the world famous Venkateswara temple, according to official sources.
The nomination came in the wake of the expelled TDP leader's visit to the Secretariat today.
He is likely to assume charge on Monday.
The TDP had expelled him after issuing a show cause notice, seeking an explanation from him for not voting using the electronic machine as directed by the party.
The TDP had also expelled Manda Jagannatham, who represents the Nagarkurnool Lok Sabha constituency.
