National Green Conference to commence in Goa from Aug 28

Panaji, Aug 23 (UNI) International Business School (IBS), one of the premier management institutes in the country, would organise a two-day national green conference, ''Good and Green: Revisiting Business for Sustainable Future'', here from August 28.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, IBS-Goa campus head Dr Pradeep Salgaonkar said the conference is the first of its kind in the state. It will provide a unique platform for debate, dialogue and action between research, industry, academia, financial organisations, entrepreneurs and government bodies nationwide.

The conference will throw light on various contemporary themes such as eco-tourism, environmental functional areas and green building to everything that talks about sustainability of business environment.

Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) President Nitin Kunkolikar will inaugurate the conference and deliver a keynote address, Mr Salgaonkar said.

The valedictory function will be chaired by R R Reddy, Registrar of IBS, Hyderabad (HO).

About 75 delegates from all over the country are likely to attend the conference, he added.

IBS is spread over 19 cities across the country.
