Are Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift an item?

New York, Aug 23 : Lead singer of the pop rock band 'Jonas Brothers', Joe Jonas, has sparked rumours that he is romantically involved with American country music singer Taylor Swift.

Though Swift denies that there is any sort of relationship between them, the rumour about their being involved was further fuelled when Jonas was spotted in the crowd at her August 17 concert in West Palm Beach.

Joe, 19, was spotted backstage at the do, standing next to Swift's dad and wearing a baseball cap.

"He watched only her performance, then walked backstage to the meet and greet area," the New York Daily News quoted a source at the concert as telling People magazine.

"But when he saw people start to recognize him, he hid. It was real obvious he didn't want people to know he was there to see Taylor," the source added.

Rumours about there being an item were strengthened after Swift recently made surprise guest appearances at a 'Jonas Brothers' concert, and also a cameo in their upcoming 3-D movie.

However, her representatives said the two were just friends.

The Jonas Brother's representatives were not available for comment.
