Kochi: Intl Anthurium Festival from Sept 6
Kochi, Aug 23: More than 20,000 varieties of anthurium flowers will be exhibited at the five-day International Festival from September six here.
The festival, organised by the Ernakulam District Agri Horti Cultural Society, was aimed to promote commercial cultivation of anthurium in Kerala and create National and International market for flowers, an official release said here today.
Major International institutions involved in the production and marketing of anthurium flowers from Holland, Israel and Italy would participate in the event.
Out of the 20,000 varieties to be exhibited, 12,000 would be imported and the remaining sourced from across the country, the release added.
