'Dawood, Anees, Tiger Memon under ISI protection'

Mumbai, Aug 23: Two-days after 1993 Mumbai blasts accused Karimullah Khan revealed Dawood whereabouts, he manages to shock the CBI once again. He confirmed ISI hand in protecting Dawood Ibrahim, his brother Anees and the prime accused in the 93 blasts case, Tiger Memon.

Former personal assistant to Dawood's younger brother Anees Ibrahim, Karimullah confirmed what the Mumbai police has been claiming all along that Dawood not only resides in Karachi, but also enjoys the protection of the ISI. “Some intelligence agency is providing for his security, said Karimullah," says Additional Commissioner of Police, Deven Bharati.

"Karimullah revealed that Dawood along withn his other brother Aneesstay in Clinfton area of Karachi and his other brothers stay in defence colony of Pakistan. They are all invovlvedin constructionbusiness and Dawood has made a lot of investments in Karachi Markets," added Deven Bharti. He told the investigators, that Dawood and his brothers have heavily invested in Pakistan"s real estate businesses and share market, besides providing refuge to a number of 1993 blast absconders in Karachi.

While Dawood rarely leaves his residence, his brother Anees handles the fake currency, and drug cartels apart from real estates and share market investments. A number of Pakistani diplomats and ISI officers regularly meet Dawood.

Tiger Memon is also in Karachi and has grown to become an established builder in Pakistan and Dubai.

Karimullah has claimed he had seen the gangster meet with ISI officials at his Karachi residence. He accused of having supervised the landing of RDX and weapons used in the 1993 serial blasts, was arrested from Thane. After the blasts he had escaped to Pakistan and returned in 2006.

Karimullah also claims that he returned to India as he was being sidelined in the gang and was not paid his dues.
