Above normal rainfall in 14 districts in MP
Bhopal, Aug 23: More than normal rainfall has been received in 14 districts in Madhya Pradesh by August 20 this year.
Out of 50 districts normal rain was recorded in 19 districts and less than normal rains in 17 districts, while no district can be placed in the category of scanty rainfall, official sources said today.
More than average rains were recorded in Jabalpur, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Damoh, Chhatarpur, Gwalior, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Shivpuri, Datia, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur and Vidisha.
While, normal rains were recorded in Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Shahdol, Anuppur, Umaria, Singrauli, Katni, Seoni, Balaghat, Narsinghpur, Mandla, Dindori, Panna, Raisen, Rajgarh, Mandsaur, Neemuch and Khandwa districts.
Less than normal rains lashed Chhindwara, Bhopal, Sehore, Betul, Hoshangabad, Harda, Ujjain, Shajapur, Dewas, Ratlam, Indore, Burhanpur, Khargone, Badwani, Dhar, Jhabua and Alirajpur districts, the sources added.
