Soz assures expeditious processing of Punjab's project proposals

New Delhi, Aug 22 (UNI) Water Resources Minister Prof Saifuddin Soz today assured Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal that his Ministry would examine various water project proposals submitted by the state government expeditiously.

Prof Soz's assurances came to Mr Badal when he met him along with state government's delegation to remind him about the proposals submitted by his government seeking the Ministry's approval and each of the proposal was reviewed in detail or not.

The meeting also discussed the issue of release of funds for Sirhind Feeder, project appraisal and approval of rehabilitation of major canals of Punjab, Shahpur Kandi Dam, flood protection works.
