Reference rate fixed at Rs 43.38 per US Dollar

Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rs 43.38 per unit, 20 paise less against yesterday's rate of Rs 43.58 per dollar.

The reference rate for Euro was up by three paise at Rs 64.55 per unit from previous close of Rs 64.52 per unit, an RBI release said.

The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the Rupee were quoted at Rs 81.3418 (81.4314) per Pound and Rs 39.84 (40.05) per 100 units of Yen.
