Record attempt, Spanish team in Sangharsh 'Dahi Handi'
Mumbai, Aug 22 (UNI) An attempt to enter into the Limca Books of Records and inclusion of a Govinda team from Spain will be the special features in the ''Dahi Handi'' organised by a city-based NGO -- Sangharsh--this year on August 24.
Speaking at a press conference here yesterday, Sangharsh president Jitendra Awhad said an 11 tier pyramid would be attempted to enter into the Limca Book of Records.
The grand total prize is Rs 21 lakh. Human pyramids built up to seven levels would receive prize money of Rs 21,000, while pyramids of up to six levels would win Rs 11,000. The women's team that forms the highest pyramid would be awarded Rs 51,000.
As a part of its promotion of communal harmony, a ''Dahi Handi'' of Rs one Lakh will be hung to be claimed by volunteers of PROJECT CRAYONS, Mr Ahwad said.
He said a new website had been launched for the occasion. The events will be streamed live on the website and on the Reliance mobile network, he added.
