MapmyIndia's GPS navigator launched in Kerala
Kochi, Aug 21 (UNI) In an effort to provide hassle-free travelling for motorists, Delhi-based MapmyIndia today launched the all-India Global Positioning System (GPS) navigation device in Kerala.
The satellite-connected handheld device, which could be fixed in any vehicle, is pre-loaded with highly detailed maps of 174 cities across the country including Ernakulam, Guruvayoor, Kochi, Kollam, Kottayam, Kovalam, Kozhikode, Kumarakom,Thalassery, Thiruvananthapuram and Thrissur, said Company Vice President (Marketing) Rajesh Mehta at a press conference here.
He said with the unparallel map coverage one would be able to navigate through 174 cities with more than 4,50,000 points of interest like ATMs, restaurants and hotels.
'' The satellite-connected device shows you in real time where you are and in which direction you are headed, besides giving accurate and detailed turn-by-turn voice and map instructions to the destination,'' Mr Mehta said.
He said the device was available in 500 outlets across the country and has two models- AMAX 06GP5A for Rs 17,990 and Delphi NAV 200 for Rs 20,990.
The MapmyIndia navigator utilizes the most comprehensive and accurate maps of India provided by MapmyIndia's parent company CE Info Systems Private Limited and the maps were created and continually updated by a strong team of map specialists and 200 surveyors.
