Baichung to become Vodafone's first iPhone 3G customer in Kolkata
Kolkata, Aug 21 (UNI) India's soccer captain Baichung Bhitia will be the first customer and user of iphone 3G as Vodafone launches its iPhone at the stroke of midnight tonight.
Mr Sridhar Rao, CEO, Vodafone Essar East ltd, will hand over the first iPhone 3G to Bhutia at its store in central Kolkata.
Bhutia was picked up by mobile phone giant for his successful leadership to lead India in the AFC soccer championship held in Hyderabad and New Delhi recently.
Priced at Rs 31,000 for 8GB version and Rs 36,100 for 16 GB, Apple's iPhone will be available at ten selected outlets in the city and subarban areas from midnight tonight, company agents said.
