APUWJ cautions against fake housing society

Hyderabad, Aug 21 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) today cautioned the journalists in the city about a self styled housing society, which had invited applications from journalists for house sites.

In a statement here D Somasunder and Y Narender Reddy, President and General Secretary respectivly of the union, said that a self styled housing society of journalists had invited applications from the working journalists in the city for house sites. The APUWJ had nothing to do with that society, they added.

Members of the old society and many other societies came together and formed "Jawaharlal Nehru Mutually aided Cooperative Housing Society" (JNMCHS), a new society with registered office in the city, they said.

The state government had issued an order allotting 70 acres of land to the JNMCHS and the process of taking possession of the land was temporarily on hold because of Andhra Pradesh High Court stay, they added.
