Xerox to invest Rs 20 cr for marketing new Color-in-Office range
New Delhi, Aug 20 (UNI) Moving on in its endeavour to grow the adoption of colour in its 'Office' range, Xerox India Ltd today launched five new products targeted at corporates, large enterprises and SMEs and plans to invest Rs 20 crore for marketing this range.
''The Indian colour laser market is projected to grow at a 23 per cent CAGR in units term in the next five years and with this launch, we will be a formidable player in the A4 segment while continuing to lead the A3 category,'' company Director (Office Business Group) Princy Bhatnagar told reporters here.
Studies indicate that in the second quarter of 2008, colour revenues were up by 11 per cent and accounted for 40 per cent of the company's total revenue and 16 per cent of the total pages printed.
Xerox has registered double-digit growth across all segments.
''The company will also invest Rs 20 crore for the marketing of these products and over the next three months, we will be roll out roadshows in six major cities which may be extended to a few more to educate our target customers,'' Mr Bhatnagar added.
The company spends 1.2 billion dollars on research and development globally, of which the bulk is spent on the office series, he said.
The products launched include Xerox WorkCentre 7232, Xerox WorkCentre 7328, Xerox WorkCentre 7655, Xerox Phaser 6180 MPF, Xerox Phaser 8860 are available in the price range of Rs 1.8-10 lakhs.
The company at the present has 400 channel partners which it hopes to expand in the near future.
