Karachi, August 20, 2008 : Over a hundred Shiites staged a protest in Pakistan against a suspected suicide bombing that killed 23 people in the compound of a hospital on Tuesday.
The bomb went off outside a hospital in Dera Ismail Khan as Shiite Muslims were protesting against the killing of a leader. Police said the attack was the result of sectarian rivalry between the minority Shiites and the majority Sunnis. The protesters marched through the streets of Karachi.
