India's oldest man dies
Jaipur, August 20, 2008 : Habib Mian, perhaps the longest surviving man in the country, passed away in Jaipur on Tuesday at the age of 139. He was suffering from fever and dysentery.
Habib was born on 20th May in the year 1878, and had the privilege of witnessing six generations of his family. Habib, whose original name was Rahim Khan, had joined the band of the erstwhile Jaipur Royal family as a clarinet player and retired from service in 1938.
