India's reactions over Musharraf's resignation

New Delhi, August 18, 2008: India refrains from commenting on the political development-taking place across the border in Pakistan. But Indian leaders wish that democracy will prevail in the country.

After ruling Pakistan single-handedly for nearly nine years, Pervez Musharraf, the former Army Chief and close ally of the United States announced his resignation in a televised address on Monday, Aug 18.
