Devotees get high on traditional drink: Bhang

Bikaner, August 20, 2008 : Devotees of Lord Shiva indulged in 'bhang' drinking session in the city of Bikaner. The intoxicating drink is made by mixing milk and crushed dry fruits with the paste of cannabis leaves.

During the ongoing Shravan season in July &August various festival and events that are dedicated to Lord Shiva are organised. A substantial quantity of dry fruits are mixed in the drink to enhance its taste and people eagerly look forward to participating in the event.
