PMC condemns administration failure

Puducherry, Aug 20 (UNI) Condemning the Territorial Administration for its alleged failure to prevent the private bus operators from hiking the bus fare on their own, the Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC) today demanded immediate withdrawal of the hike.

In a statement here, PMC Spokesman K Lakshminarayanan, MLA, urged the government to not allow the bus operators to take law into their hands.

The government should not allow the bus operators to increase the charge without its consent, he added.

He said the PMC was waiting for the government action. Otherwise, it would organise a series of agitations with the support of the public on the issue, he said.
