HP to provide relief to rain-hit apple growers: Bragta

Shimla, Aug 20 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Minister Narender Bragta today said the state government was committed to providing relief to rain-affected apple growers in the state.

Reacting to Congress leader Vidya Stokes' allegation that the state government was indifferent towards the rain-hit apple growers, Mr Bragta said, ''Natural calamity is inevitable and the Congress leader should also use her influences to stress the UPA government to provide interim relief to earliest instead of politicising the issue''.

He said that every effort had been made to relieved the rain affected apple growers in the State.
