Groundnutseed, its oil rise, RBD Palmolein falls

Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) Prices of groundnutseed, its oil moved up today on speculative buying by stockists while RBD Palmolein slightly fell on poor demand by stockists, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange said.

In oils (10 kgs), groundnut oil and cottonseed (refined) inched up by Rs 10 and Rs 5 per 10 kgs respectively.

However, RBD Palmolein declined by Rs 2 per ten kg. Sunflower exp and castor comm was down by Rs 10 per ten kg each on sluggish demand by bulk consumers, traders said.

Among seeds (per quintal), groudnutseed and castorseed Disa rose by Rs 50 and Rs 15 per quintal respectively amid lesser stock supply by stockists.

Both, Castorseed Bombay and Hyderabad were down by Rs 50 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure by stockists.

In De-oiled cakes, castor extr eased by Rs 50 per metric tonne on poor offtake, traders added.
