Give land to Amarnath Shrine Board: Rashtriya Ekta Manch
Mumbai, Aug 20 (UNI) President of the non-governmental organisation Rashtriya Ekta Manch Mohammed Rafiq Shaikh today said that in order to maintain peace in Jammu and Kashmir, the land allotted to the Amarnath Shrine Board should be given back to the board.
Speaking at a press conference here, Mr Shaikh said the issue should not be politicised and the land should be allotted to the board as it will help tourism in the region and pilgrims will benefit from it.
''The land has been allotted after a lot of thought by the Jammu and Kashmir government and should be handed over to the board,'' Mr Shaikh said.
The manch has also decided to organise a silent protest at Azad Maidan on August 27 along with with other organisations, Mr Shaikh said.
