Congress will come to power, claims Jaipal Reddy

Hyderabad, Aug 20 (UNI) Union Urban Development Minister S Jaipal Reddy today claimed that the chances of the Congress winning the next elections in the state have only brightened with the launch of a political party by actor Chiranjeevi.

Talking to newspersons, after inaugurating the two-day national workshop on capacity building for promoting PPP in urban infrastructure here, he said, ''being a popular figure in the state, Chiranjeevi's party will become a considerable force. However, it will not affect the Congress in the state.'' Asked whether the Congress high command would take a decision on creating separate Telangana state before elections, he said he did not want to comment on the issue as the matter was pending before the Congress President Sonia Gandhi, who was consulting all political parties in this regard.
