Bengal Congress remembers Rajiv Gandhi

Kolkata, Aug 20 (UNI) The Congress in Bengal today paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his 64th birth anniversary throughout the state.

A prayer meeting was organised at the state Congress headquarters 'Bidhan Bhavan' which was attended by party's acting president Pradip Bhattacharjee and a large number of Congress workers.

The Youth Congress marked the day by organising blood donation camps, rallies and other social activities across the state.

The day was celebrated as 'Sadbhavana Divas' and several programmes had been arranged for the day.
