3,600cr investment in IT SEZs: Ansal Properties
New Delhi, Aug 20: Real estate developer Ansal Properties and Infrasturcture Ltd (API) on Wednesday, Aug 20 said it will invest about Rs 3,600 crore in IT and ITeS special economic zones (SEZs) and parks in Greater Noida, Gurgaon and Mumbai.
''These SEZs are aimed at growing IT&ITES firms choosing to set-up centres in adjoining areas of Tier-1 cities in view of the global economic pressures to reduce costs and maximise returns,'' Chairman and Managing Director Pranav Ansal said in a statement. The realty major has obtained the approval for setting up IT SEZs, spread across 270 acres of land.
Construction of some of the projects have already begun and these are expected to be completed in 5-7 years, he said.
Based on the walk-to-work culture, the proposed SEZs will consist of an IT zone, commercial, and residential zone and a recreational area.
