Accused in double murder case commits suicide in lock-up

Rajkot, Aug 20 (UNI) A 35-year-old man, accused of double murder, allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a piece of cloth in the bathroom of the lock-up of Lathi police station in Amreli district of Gujarat.

According to police sources, Nankubhai Ghelabhai committed suicide yesterday.

Nankubhai was arrested for allegedly killing his two brothers -- Bijal Nathhani and Bhika Nathabhai -- over a land dispute.

He was kept in the cell on a four-day remand.

The body was sent to Bhavnagar hospital for a post-mortem, police added.
