1st Supplementary Budget of Rs 5916.17 cr passed in UP Assembly

Lucknow, Aug 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Assembly today passed the first Supplementary Budget to the tune of Rs 5916.17 crore sought by the state government.

Yesterday, state finance minister Lalji Verma had tabled the supplementary budget in the House.

The budget had sought funds for the construction of a new secretariat in the state capital, besides several provisions for construction of government infrastructure in the newly Kashiram Nagar district and new division of Aligarh.

The state government had also sought Rs 55 crore for purchase of an aircraft and a helicopter besides, Rs 252.61 crore for renovation of the Ambedkar Parivartan Sthal.
