Policy on dilapidated buildings to be announced soon: CM
Mumbai, Aug 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said the new policy on the 19,000 old dilapidated buildings in the Metropolis will be announced soon.
Speaking at a ceremony organised to welcome new Mumbai Regional Congress Committee president Kripa Shankar Singh, he said that more thrust would be given to the development of Mumbai with completion of skywalks, monorail, metro and several other projects.
He said that it was the responsibility of Mr Singh to bring Congressmen together and win all the seats for the party in the assembly and general elections.
Former MRCC chief Gurudas Kamat, who is been made the election campaign committee chief, said Mr Singh should continue his hard work to strengthen the party.
Mr Singh said he would put in the best of his efforts to strengthen the party.
