Next date of Sarita suicide case on Sep 3

Ambala, Aug 19 (UNI) The CBI special magistrate Dr Abdul Majid adjourned the hearing in the Sarita suicide case for September 3 when it came up for hearing in the court today.

The CBI public prosecutor had made a request that the judicial custody of the accused be extended as arguments in the case were possible only after receiving their DNA test report as ordered by the court earlier.

Both the accused Balraj and Silk Ram were produced in the court.

Rohtak housewife Sarita had committed suicide in Panchkula office of the Haryana DGP alleging police ''inaction'' on her complaint of rape by the accused in the Rohtak police station.

Following her sensational suicide, the case was handed over to the CBI.
