Joyalukkas to expand Indian operation
Chennai, Aug 19 (UNI) Leading gold retailer Joyalukkas will expand its Indian operations by opening three more showrooms by March next year.
Speaking after inking a strategic marketing tie up with World Gold Council (WGC) here today, Joyalukkas CMD Joyalukkas said the three new showrooms, which would come up in Puducherry, Bangalore and Trivandrum, would be operational by March 2009 taking Joyalukkas presence in India to 19 stores.
With this and the presence of 50 showrooms across various countries, including the UK and Middle East, Joyalukkas will have 70 showrooms by March next.
Under the tie-up, the WGC and Joyalukkas unveiled a new gold advertisement campaign under WGC's "Only Gold" platform.
The highlight of the partnership was this was WGC's first pan-regional campaign that would be launched across key gold jewellery markets of India and the Gulf countries.
''This fully integrated multi-media campaign will use a combination of advertising and promotional activities including television, print, point-of-sale, online and other digital media,'' he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Mitra, Managing Director, Indian Sub-continent, WGC said, "World Gold Council recently announced Only Gold, our new marketing platform across the globe.
