HP releases enhanced 6 per cent DA
Shimla, Aug 19 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Government today ordered to release additional 6 per cent Dearness Allowance to its employees with effect from January 1, 2008.
With the enhancement of the DA, which was announced by chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal in his independence day speech, the DA has been increased to 47 per cent from existing 41 percent, a spokesman of the government said.
He further said that the additional Dearness Allowance of 6 percent shall be paid in cash with next salary and the arears of 7 months shall be credited to the GPF of the employees.
