HC curbs on giving news about actor's divorce case

Chennai, Aug 19 (UNI) Madras High Court today restrained a section of newspapers and a private television channel from publishing/broadcasting proceedings of the divorce case of famous cine actor Suganya.

Admitting an appeal petition filed by the actress, Mr Justice S Manikumar directed the Family Court, Chennai to conduct the proceedings in-camera as desired by Ms Suganya and her husband.

Ms Suganya filed the present petition after the Principal Family Court rejected her plea to restrain the media from publishing/broadcasting the proceedings.
